Abstract

This article discusses the semiotics of music: music as a language (semiotic system), verbal descriptions of music (literary and artistic interpretations) as its translation. We analyzed two experiments of verbal interpretation of Frederic Chopinʼs Waltz cis-moll and defined reasons having a consequence that a translation of music is always probabilistic.
