Name: Speaking trees of Kazym Khanty

Abstract: An article contains both ethnographic and folkloristic data on Kazym Khanty culture. Its comparison allows to describe one of the culture universals – Destiny. The phenomenon of Destiny is developed through characteristic of special signs on trees (blazes) which image is also widespread in Khanty folklore.
