Name: The weakening of the mark in the translation of biblical texts

Abstract: Patriarch of the Jewish people. In the biblical story there are many dark places that the author decrypts from the point of view of cultural studies and semiotics. Conducting typological Parallels between the biblical stories and heroic epics of Siberian peoples of the present, the author analyzes such phenomena as the life-giving properties of the World Tree, the relationship of biblical characters with characters of the Russian, Siberian, European fairy tales, found traces of myths and heroic epics of the ancient Semites in the text of the Torah. The mechanism of the evolution of cultural memes, the author sees in the weakening of semiotic signs. The author introduces the term «contamination» signs.
