Abstract:

The article deals with the poetry collection “Seven”, published in Harbin in 1931. The study focuses on the modernist approach to describing the world, demonstrating the “thing” as an inescapable essence of the twentieth century lyrics. The poets of “Young Churaevka” showed the world interiors and still lifes, voluminous landscapes, sculptural portraits and small private (sometimes intimate) loci – street sketches, plot scenes. The work draws parallels with the lyrics of the Acmeists (Akhmatova and Gumilev’s “branches” are especially highlighted) and Boris Pasternak, who discovered metaphorical spaces of being filled with warm and lively way of life. The objectivity of images, inherent in B. Pasternak, can be found in the lyrics of N. Svetlov and N. Shchegolev.

Keywords: collection “Seven”, acmeism, modernism, detail, thing in lyric poetry, “Young Churaevka”, chronotope, figurativeness
