Abstract:

The article analyzes the secondary meanings of the verbs of non-directional movement, developed on the basis of rethinking the original semantics, likening one state to another on the basis of some common feature. The tendency of development of secondary meanings concerning movement in space (including metaphorical) and time is revealed. There is a certain specificity in the semantics of secondary meanings, they are closely related to primary meanings that convey various kinds of movements in the physical sphere, but the semantics of movement passes into the abstract sphere, in which associative transfer occurs associated with spatial metaphor. In the Khakass language, figurative meanings have developed in the structure of verbs of non-directional movement, showing abstract movement and movement in different spheres of human activity and the surrounding reality.
