ArticleName: Interdiscursive Parameters of Linguistic Creativity (The Case Study of Cinematic Discourse) Authors: Irina V. Zykova Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russian Federation
Abstract: The research aims at elaborating the theory of linguistic creativity and a common methodology of studying linguocreative phenomena in different discourses. For further development of a multi-level system of parameters of linguistic creativity described in ourprevious works, the present paper studies in detail the parameters of an interdiscursive level, in particular, how they are activated in the cinematic discourse. The applied analytical algorithm helps to define the notion of an interdiscursive parameter and establish the artistic-aesthetic strategies that are used to construct innovative verbal systems of the films under study. Special attention is paid to the films’ systematization that helps to reveal their complex interdiscursive character. The research results in establishing certain types of interdiscursive insertions, e.g., homogeneous vs. heterogeneous insertions; diegetic vs non-diegetic insertions; authentically reproduced insertions and others. All the types of interdiscursive insertions represent different forms of realizing the creative potential of the language. The main conclusion of the research is that the integration of different discourses into a film can be qualified as a process of their linguocreative appropriation.
